Lost Main Title

Just finished watching the first new episode of the second season of Lost, and wow, I totally didn’t see that one coming.  If you haven’t watched it yet, don’t continue reading, but if you have, the hatch is a 70s style underground bunker?  With light streaming in through the windows!?  Where’s the light coming from!?  And why the anachronistic Neptune washer and dryer?  Weird if you ask me, but still incredibly captivating… 🙂

Oh, and for some more Lost goodness, here’s a screencap of the never-used alternate main title sequence.

Lost Alternate Main Title

Spooky, but I still prefer the one we’re used to seeing.  Here’s to episode two!

Yeah, i’m a big fan of that show. If you look really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really closely at the first sequence, when the guy goes to shoot up, they do a zoom up on the vaccine bottle, and on that bottle are hurley’s numbers.

Another thing about that little place is that in the end sequence, when they’re showing the paintings on the wall, the sum of hurley’s numbers is painted on the wall.

It was a pretty incredible episode. I’m recording all the episodes to dvd, and ripping/encoding them here at the computer for inspection. You really have to watch closely to catch the eerie parts.

Also, the guy was sleeping on bunk beds. So, he’s probably living down there with somebody.

Hey Mikey,

Yeah, Hurley’s numbers were all over the place in that episode, including the time when Shannon’s father died. Really makes you wonder what their significance is. What I found even more intriguing was the logo on Desmond’s jumper and on the bunker wall, and the significance of the “execute” button.

So many secrets — I just hope that the writers have an actual plan and aren’t making this stuff up as they go along…
